This Privacy Policy explains how Grindex (“Grindex”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Grindex mobile app and website (the “Service”). Grindex is a personal tool for tracking live poker results. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account data: your email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never stored by us in readable form).
Profile data: display name, username, bio, profile photo, and your chosen base currency.
Poker data you enter: session details such as game type, stakes, venue, buy-ins, cash-outs, dates, duration, table quality, performance ratings, and any private notes.
Staking data: backing deals you create or accept, percentages, makeup, splits and settlement records between you and other users.
Social content: posts, photos, comments, reactions, follows and follow requests.
Push tokens: a device push token so we can deliver notifications you opt into.
Technical data: basic device and app information needed to operate the Service.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the Service — tracking, statistics, staking records, and the social feed.
To send push notifications you have enabled (follows, comments, reactions, deal and settlement updates).
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising. Grindex does not facilitate gambling or real-money play — it is a record-keeping tool only.

4. Sharing and visibility

Your account is private by default. Other users only see your posts and profile if you approve their follow request. Your private notes and personal statistics are never shared with other users. We share data with the service providers below strictly to run the Service.

5. Service providers

Supabase — database, authentication, and media storage.
Expo & Apple Push Notification service — delivery of push notifications.
Frankfurter — historical currency exchange rates (no personal data is sent; only a currency and date).

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing sorin.martin94@gmail.com, or by using the in-app account deletion option where available. We will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the EU/EEA GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

Grindex is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
